Passing Myself Down To The Grave: A Woman’s Rise From Darkness is a personal memoir that retells a spiritual journey through the Hades of my existence. I awoke one day in 2001, with a sense of dread and anxiety that had never existed before. Slowly, day after day, my soul drained away, and my life resembled The Book of Job where Satan said to God, take everything away from Job and see if he still believes in you. That’s exactly what happened to me. In 2002, I received the devastating news I had breast cancer. From that moment until 2013 I trudged through my twelve-year exodus of despair. I fought off internal and external demons, yet mystical and miraculous experiences occurred throughout.

This tale acts as preventative medicine for women who have entered darkness, no matter what the reason, then search for a helping hand out. It will also show that one can be reborn again and succeed in life no matter how old. Another inimitable aspect of Passing Myself Down to the Grave, is a full- length screenplay exists within the story. I wrote a short movie called Passing in October 2013. Strangely, the main character Cleo, a forty-year-old mother whose life was destroyed by cancer and chemo, seemed to have morphed into a full feature heroine. Cleo, Rory and Levy, (two young men) meet as strangers, randomly, in a forest, but all have the same the mission to kill themselves. Although each person desires to die, each character discourages the others not to. This story is juxtaposed against the reality of my account.
